Jose Negrete

As a lifelong resident of the Yakima Valley, Jose is excited for the opportunity to help Yakima-area businesses grow and succeed. He has a deep commitment to and passion for small businesses. He looks forward to helping entrepreneurs follow their passion and create sustainable businesses that build wealth for their families and enhance the communities where they live.  

Prior to joining the SBDC, Jose worked for a grower-owned agricultural cooperative, where he managed business operations and finance for the cooperative’s export trade to Canada.  In that position, Jose developed skills in strategic planning, project development and financial analysis.  

Jose earned an accounting degree from Central Washington University and is currently earning an MBA with a concentration in finance from Eastern Washington University. With his academic and professional background, Jose has a strong foundation in financial management and analysis. He looks forward to using these skills to help business owners make data-driven decisions that will enable them to achieve their dreams. 

Jose’s areas of focus are strategic planning and development, accounting and financial analysis. Jose is co-located with the Yakima County Development Council.
